Sri Lanka, Aug. 16 -- A suspect was arrested with drugs and sharp weapons during a special raid conducted yesterday (15) based on confidential information received by officers of the Special Task Force Trincomalee camp.

The raid was conducted at a house located at Madumei Street, Devanagar, Puliyamkulama, Trincomalee in the Uppuveli police division. The raid found 11 grams of drugs, a sword, and a sharp weapon prepared by attaching an iron-toothed wheel to an iron pipe, in the possession of the suspect, the Police Special Task Force informed.

An individual aged 38 residing in Devanagar, Puliyamkulama, Trincomalee was arrested.
