Sri Lanka, April 20 -- Indian Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan departed the island this afternoon (20) following the conclusion of a two-day official visit.
This visit marks the first time an Indian Vice President conducted an official tour of Sri Lanka. Strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations served as the primary objective of the trip.
The Vice President met with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday (19) for bilateral discussions. These talks focused extensively on cooperation in the energy sector, housing projects, and fishing issues.
