Sri Lanka, May 30 -- On the Vesak Poya day, the Hiru Shakyasingha Festival organised by the Hiru Media Network led by Hiru TV and Hiru FM has commenced at the historic Mahiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya.

The Hiru Shakyasingha Festival is an initiative of Hiru Media Network Chairman Raynor Silva, who continuously contributes to the preservation and growth of Buddhism through extensive religious service for the continuity of the Sasana.

A series of religious activities, including poetic Dharma sermons and Dhamma discussions beneficial for both this world and the next, are scheduled to take place throughout the day (30) at the historic Mahiyangana temple premises.
