Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- Heroin trafficking operates without any fear or suspicion during the morning, afternoon, and night on Grandpass-Khettarama Mawatha. This happens even at a time when the 'Ratama ekata' National Operations Council focuses on implementing the death penalty for drug-related offences.

The M. Vincent Perera Stadium located in the area serves as a location used by traffickers for drug distribution, an investigation by Hiru CIA revealed.

Khettarama Mawatha, which runs near the R. Premadasa Stadium, spans about 400 metres in length to connect with the main road.

Organised heroin traffickers turned this narrow road into their latest hub for distributing drug powder.
