Sri Lanka, May 5 -- The Department of Meteorology has announced that the Intertropical Convergence Zone-where winds from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres meet-is currently affecting the island's weather.
Consequently, an increase in rainfall is expected across the country starting tomorrow (6).
Showers or thundershowers are likely to develop in most areas after 1.00 pm.
The sky will remain overcast in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as the Ampara district, with rain anticipated during the morning hours as well.
