Sri Lanka, Oct. 22 -- Although the low-pressure area has moved away from the island, the Department of Meteorology forecasts that heavy rains exceeding 100 mm may occur at some places in five provinces and two districts tomorrow (23) as well.

Accordingly, such heavy rains may occur at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northern, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Anuradhapura and Galle districts.

Furthermore, the Department of Meteorology has added that rains exceeding 75 mm could also occur in some other areas of the island.
