Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- Two automatic spill gates of Victoria Reservoir opened automatically today as water levels rose following heavy rainfall.

A water capacity of 150 cubic metres per second is released into the Mahaweli River following the opening of the spill gates, the Mahaweli Authority stated.
