Sri Lanka, June 12 -- Former minister Harin Fernando says that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, after undergoing successful bypass heart surgery, now appears to be about 10 years younger and has regained renewed energy.

Speaking after a United National Party (UNP) meeting held yesterday, Harin Fernando also made a light-hearted remark that not only has Wickremesinghe's intellect remained strong, but his "back has also become stronger" following the surgery.

He noted that the party leader re-engaged with party discussions after about three months to focus on future activities, upcoming steps, and the party's anniversary. In particular, discussions were held on how to move forward as a united opposition with the Samagi Jana Balawega...
