Sri Lanka, March 9 -- Private bus workers operating the Hanwella-Colombo route launched a strike today.

The action follows a dispute with Kaduwela-Colombo bus workers regarding the picking up of passengers.

Consequently, commuters travelling on the 143 bus route face significant inconveniences.
