Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- Out of the 289,867 students who sat for the Grade 5 scholarship examination, 56,000 children scored above the cut-off mark, according to the Department of Examinations.

The Commissioner General of Examinations also stated that the dates for submitting re-evaluation appeals will be announced later.
