Govt. concerned over Kuwait airport attack
Sri Lanka, June 5 -- Sri Lanka raises deep concern over the attack on civilian infrastructure at Kuwait International Airport that left three Sri Lankan nationals injured, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism said, issuing a statement.
The Ministry emphasised that it is the Government's top priority on ensuring the safety, welfare and security of more than one million Sri Lankans living and working in the region.
The ministry also urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, reiterating Sri Lanka's commitment to international efforts aimed at maintaining regional peace, security and civilian protection.
