Government urged to clarify decision on minimum age limit for three-wheeler drivers
Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- The National Joint Three-Wheel Drivers and Industry Workers Union says the government must state a clear decision regarding the proposal to raise the minimum age limit for driving three-wheelers to 40 years.
Speaking at a press conference, the union requested that this age limit be revised to between 25 and 35 years.
Recently, Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Dr Nalinda Jayatissa stated that the government has not yet taken a final decision regarding the proposal to raise the minimum age limit for driving three-wheelers to 40 years. He made these remarks in response to a question raised by a journalist during a press conference held to announce Cabinet decisions.
