Government losing Rs.5 million per day due to coal ship delays - Chanaka
Sri Lanka, May 16 -- Parliamentarian of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) D. V. Chanaka alleged that the government is being forced to pay an additional Rs.5 million per day due to delays in unloading coal from two ships anchored off the coast near Norochcholai.
He made the statement yesterday while lodging a complaint with the Special Presidential Commission appointed to investigate matters related to coal imports.
