Sri Lanka, Sept. 27 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake states that the government deferred the implementation of the property tax scheduled for 2025 under an agreement made by the previous administration with the International Monetary Fund, excluding it even from the third budget.

Speaking at the 'Our Government - Two Years Good for the Country' public rally held in Gampaha today (27), the President mentioned that when his administration took office, the prior government had already reached an agreement with the International Monetary Fund to levy an additional tax on properties.
