Government committed to creating barrier-free society for children with special needs, says Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya
Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya stated today (20) that disabilities or special needs should not hinder a child's progress, emphasizing that the government is fully committed to building an inclusive, barrier-free society that prioritises children's true talents and offers equal opportunities to all.
She made these remarks during a ceremony held at Temple Trees to felicitate Girl Guides who received the "Blue All Round Cord", the highest award presented by the Differently Abled Branch of the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association.
