Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- Horana Headquarters Police arrested a three-member gang yesterday (22) involved in violent robberies using sharp weapons to steal motorcycles, mobile phones, and cash.
Police recovered property worth nearly two million rupees, including two motorcycles and spare parts.
The suspects, aged between 22 and 35, are residents of Gonapala, Welikala, and Thalagala. Investigations reveal they are heavy drug addicts and are also involved in narcotics trafficking.
The gang leader, a resident of Tibbotugoda, Welikala, was initially apprehended by officers patrolling Horana town with 6,300 mg of heroin.
