Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- Colombo High Court Judge Nadee Aparna Suwandarugoda ordered today that the case filed against former minister Udaya Gammanpila be called for written submissions on the 18th of this month, following the conclusion of the evidence hearing.

The former minister faces four charges relating to criminal breach of trust and the misappropriation of twenty-one million rupees. According to the prosecution, the charges stem from shares sold nineteen years ago via a power of attorney allegedly forged with an Australian national's signature between September 26, 1996, and September 25, 1997.
