Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam urges Vijay to pass resolution seeking international probe into northern genocide
Sri Lanka, May 13 -- The leader of the Tamil National People's Front, Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, stated that 18 May remains declared as "Mullivaikkal Genocide Day" every year since 2009 to remember the alleged genocide committed by the Sri Lankan government against the Tamil people. In a letter addressed to the newly appointed Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Joseph Vijay, he referenced a resolution unanimously passed by the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in 2013 that supported the struggle for justice for Tamils.
