Sri Lanka, May 25 -- Colombo Additional Magistrate Liyan Warusawithana today (25) ordered that the further hearing of evidence in the case filed against Shashi Weerawansa, wife of former minister Wimal Weerawansa, be recalled on July 24.

The case relates to allegations that she obtained an irregular diplomatic passport by submitting forged documents.

The order was issued after the accused, who is out on bail, appeared before Court when the case was taken up.

Appearing for the defence, Attorney Buddhika Chandrasekara told the Court that he required access to inspect the computer system linked to computer-generated documents relevant to the case before evidence proceedings could continue.
