Sri Lanka, May 20 -- Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Anil Jayantha Fernando, announced that the QR code system for fuel distribution will continue to remain in operation.

Speaking in Parliament yesterday (19), he stated that the decision was taken to regulate and minimise fuel consumption in light of the prevailing global situation.

Accordingly, fuel quotas under the QR system will remain unchanged, with 25 litres allocated for cars, 20 litres for three-wheelers, 8 litres for motorcycles, and 100 litres for buses.
