Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- Heavy traffic congestion has been reported in the area between Borella and Maradana, according to the police.

Authorities stated that the gridlock was triggered by a protest march organized by the Frontline Socialist Party. Motorists and commuters are advised to use alternative routes where possible.
