Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- The final day of the Freedom March, which commenced demanding the release of Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera, takes place today.

Yesterday, the march commenced from Nittambuwa town for its fifth day and arrived in Kadawatha town.

Accordingly, it is scheduled to commence from Kadawatha to Colombo today.

Meanwhile, Venerable Ulapane Sumangala Thero stated that just as a decision was taken to allow imprisoned monks to wear the robe upon exiting, steps should be taken to release Gnanasara Thero by the time their march reaches Colombo.

He expressed these views while attending the conclusion of yesterday's march in Kadawatha.
