Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- The Balapitiya Acting Magistrate granted permission to the Ahungalla Police today (28) to detain and interrogate four suspects, including a woman, until March 5.

The group was produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate's Court following their arrest yesterday (27).

The suspects were apprehended with approximately 27 kilograms and 144 grams of heroin and crystal meth (Ice), valued at nearly Rs.500 million.

The seizure occurred during a coordinated search operation conducted across the Balapitiya and Ambalangoda police divisions within the Ahungalla police jurisdiction.

Those in custody are residents of Balapitiya and Ambalangoda, aged between 41 and 45.
