Sri Lanka, May 8 -- The Fort Magistrate has departed to conduct an inquiry into the sudden death of former Sri Lankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena.
Consequently, court proceedings stood adjourned for one hour.
Colpetty Police informed Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena today (8) that a post-mortem examination and a magisterial inquiry are required as the sudden death of the former Chief Executive Officer appears suspicious.
Police further submitted facts regarding the incident where Kapila Chandrasena took his own life at his residence in Kollupitiya.
The Fort Magistrate is currently leaving to conduct the inquiry, leading to the temporary suspension of court activities.
