Sri Lanka, July 23 -- Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena ordered today (23) to remand former State Minister Shantha Bandara's son until July 27, after being detained and questioned for 24 hours at the Central Crime Investigation Bureau regarding an incident of robbing Rs. 20 million belonging to a Chinese national.

The Fort Magistrate's Court remanded Anuda Janadith Samarakoon Bandara, a son of former State Minister Shantha Bandara.

Presenting facts to court regarding the incident, investigating officers stated that in relation to this incident, investigations are being conducted regarding this suspect's telephone records, bank records, and whether other transactions were previously conducted through cryptocurrency.
