Sri Lanka, April 22 -- Former Member of Parliament Premalal Jayasekara was released on bail today (22) following an order by the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate's Court.

The court set conditions for his release, including a personal bail of Rs. 1 million and a cash bail of Rs. 25,000.

Nuwara Eliya Police arrested Premalal Jayasekara based on a complaint lodged by an aggrieved party regarding an incident where he allegedly threatened an individual with a pistol.

This occurred during an altercation between two groups while Jayasekara visited Nuwara Eliya with his family yesterday.
