Sri Lanka, May 15 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (15) ordered Mahesh Obeyesekere, a former army soldier considered to be the contract shooter of Ganemulla Sanjeewa who was shot dead inside the Colombo Additional Magistrate's Court, to be further remanded until the 29th.

The Magistrate issued this order following submissions made by the Criminal Investigation Department, presenting a further report related to the incident to the court.

Presenting the suspect to the court, the Criminal Investigation Department stated that this suspect had been detained and questioned.
