Sri Lanka, June 7 -- The former Director of the State Intelligence Service, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, who is being detained and questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital, according to sources.

This comes against a backdrop where he commenced a fast-to-death since last night (06).
