Sri Lanka, March 26 -- A meeting took place between the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Alireza Delkhosh, and former President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena.

During this meeting, the former President paid his respects to the late Supreme Leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.

The Iranian Embassy in Sri Lanka announced that the former President also reaffirmed his solidarity with the people of Iran.
