Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- Criminal Investigation Department officers apprehended former Police Inspector Jagath Nishantha upon his arrival in the country from abroad.

The arrest relates to his status as a suspect in the shooting incident that occurred at the W15 hotel in Weligama, according to police statements.
