Sri Lanka, March 9 -- Former Member of Parliament Sajin de Vass Gunawardena was arrested by Bribery Commission officers regarding allegations of earning 243.8 million rupees in illegal assets.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption took him into custody earlier today (09) after he arrived at the premises to provide a statement. His appearance followed an ongoing investigation into the acquisition of unlawful wealth.
