Former minister Shantha Bandara's son detained for 24 hours
Sri Lanka, July 22 -- Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena today (22) granted permission to detain and question Anuda Janadith Samarakoon Bandara, a son of former State Minister Shantha Bandara, for 24 hours after he was arrested by the Kollupitiya Police in connection with the robbery of 20 million rupees from a Chinese national.
Presenting further facts to the court regarding the incident, the Kollupitiya Police stated that the Inspector General of Police transferred further investigations into the matter to the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau.
