Sri Lanka, June 6 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) says that a facility producing fake documents, national identity cards, and vehicle number plates was raided yesterday (05), leading to the arrest of three individuals along with cash.

According to police reports, the operation had been running covertly for some time from a rented house on N. M. Perera Mawatha in Borella.

During the raid, officers seized 600 fake official seals, two original land registry files containing deed copies, four forged national identity cards, electronic equipment used for producing counterfeit documents, a typewriter, a motor vehicle, a motorcycle, and Rs. 1.5 million in cash.
