Sri Lanka, Oct. 24 -- Five Thai women were arrested during a police raid on a suspected brothel operating under the guise of a massage centre in Wellawatte.

Wellawatte Police conducted the raid on October 23 at a premises on Marine Drive following information received by officers.

Police arrested one woman on suspicion of managing the establishment and four others over alleged involvement in prostitution.

All five suspects are Thai nationals aged between 35 and 43.

Wellawatte Police are conducting further investigations into the operation.
