Sri Lanka, July 26 -- A fire broke out at a hotel located opposite the central bus stand in Anuradhapura town today(26).

Police said the cause of the fire was not yet known, and people in the area gathered to initially control the blaze to prevent it from spreading further.

The Anuradhapura Fire Unit later arrived at the scene and completely controlled the fire.

Details regarding property damage or other specific information from the fire are yet to be revealed.

Anuradhapura Police are conducting further investigations.
