Sri Lanka, Sept. 6 -- A sudden fire broke out at a facility manufacturing coconut and timber-based products in the Madampe area this evening (06).

Firefighters from the Chilaw Urban Council Fire Brigade, assisted by local residents, are making strenuous efforts to bring the blaze under control and extinguish it.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage caused by the incident have not yet been confirmed.
