Sri Lanka, April 25 -- A 64-year-old resident of the Atirahapitiya area in Matale died yesterday (24) after being attacked with a sharp weapon. Matale Police launched an investigation into the incident upon receiving a report regarding the death.

Preliminary inquiries reveal that the victim's son carried out the act following an argument between the two that escalated. Consequently, the 33-year-old suspect is in police custody. Matale Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
