Sri Lanka, June 5 -- Seeduwa Vijaya Kumaratunga Memorial Hospital's Eye Clinic Digitisation Project was formally opened to the public, under the patronage of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.

During the inauguration, held on Thursday (04), former President Kumaratunga visited and reviewed developments in the eye clinic wards. Attending the event, Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa, pointed out that the government is committed to modernising healthcare service delivery across the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, the project, which is directly implemented under its oversight, targets to improve efficiency and quality of the national-level eye care services.
