Ex-President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, two officers banned from travel
Sri Lanka, June 3 -- The Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena today (03) issued an order imposing a foreign travel ban on former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and two military officers in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The Magistrate also instructed the court registrar to immediately forward the order to the Controller of Immigration and Emigration.
The travel ban applies to former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, retired Army Colonel Mohammed Ansar, and former intelligence officer Premananda Udalagama.
The order was issued following a request made to court by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in relation to the case.
