Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- Entrepreneur Hasan Alaldeen stepped down from all positions within the Sarvajana Balaya party, citing personal reasons.

Alaldeen contested as a National List candidate for the party in the recent General Election and as its mayoral candidate for Colombo during the Local Government Election.

Alaldeen submitted his resignation letter to Sarvajana Balaya General Secretary Ranjan Seneviratne.

The letter conveyed gratitude to party leader Dilith Jayaweera, the General Secretary, and colleagues for support provided since joining the party, noting appreciation for senior responsibilities, candidacy opportunities, and leadership roles entrusted to him.
