Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- Employees foiled an attack by two individuals who attempted to rob a liquor store located at Anuradhapura Junction in Trincomalee.

At around 9.45 PM yesterday (18), two robbers arriving on a motorcycle attempted to flee with stolen money, but employees put up a strong effort and managed to catch one robber along with the cash bag.

At that moment, the other individual carrying a firearm attempted to shoot at the employees, but missed his target.

Both robbers subsequently fled on the motorcycle along Anuradhapura Road.

However, acting swiftly, police arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery at a lodging in the Mihindupura area during an emergency search, and police are conducting further investigations...
