Sri Lanka, May 27 -- The cases filed against former Defense Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and former Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundera, accused of criminal negligence of duty for failing to prevent the Easter Sunday terror attacks despite receiving intelligence information, will be called on June 12.

The cases came up today before the Trial-at-Bar bench comprising High Court Judges Priyantha Liyanage, Viraj Weerasuriya, and Thilakaratne Bandara.

Both accused, former Defense Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and former IGP Pujith Jayasundera, appeared in court.

Subsequently, the three-judge bench scheduled the cases for June 12 to present the relevant submissions.
