Sri Lanka, May 27 -- Two suspects arrested in Dubai, including Ravindra Ranjith Suriyaarachchi, face 90 days of detention and interrogation over human homicides, the Colombo Crimes Division informed Colombo Additional Magistrate Kasun Dasanayaka today (27).

The Colombo Crimes Division noted that law enforcement officials took these suspects into custody in Dubai on the 22nd.

Police stated that the investigation focuses on the involvement of these suspects in an incident where attackers shot and took the lives of two individuals near the Sirisara Uyana apartments in Borella on August 7, 2025.
