Sri Lanka, July 24 -- Total dengue cases reported so far this year increased to 80,114, with 59 dengue deaths, the National Dengue Control Unit informed in its latest statement.

The records show 1,098 new dengue patients being identified yesterday (23) alone.

Accordingly, over 47 percent of total cases were reported from the Western Province, with 16,950 cases reported from Gampaha District, 16,021 from Colombo District, and 5,242 cases from Kalutara District.
