Court to deliver order on Sallay's medical report request on June 10
Sri Lanka, June 4 -- The Colombo Fort Magistrate, Pasan Amarasena, differed an order regarding a request made by the Attorney General, which will be declared on the 10th of this month.
The Attorney General requested an order to be issued to the Director General of Health Services to present the former State Intelligence Service Director Major General Suresh Sallay (Rtd), who is detained and interrogated under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, before a specialist medical board and call for a report.
The Magistrate announced this when a motion submitted by President's Counsel Shavindra Fernando on behalf of Suresh Sallay was considered before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court today.
