Sri Lanka, June 3 -- A four-member panel has unanimously concluded that the death of Ranga Nishantha - who was found dead while employed in the Foreign Resources Unit of the Treasury - was caused by self-inflicted cut injuries, forensic medical committee chairman and senior forensic expert Ilangaratne Banda told the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate's Court today (03), giving evidence before Magistrate Mihil Chiranthana Satarasinghe.

During the previous hearing, evidence was recorded from the deceased's wife, daughter, and others. Today, testimony was taken from the forensic medical officer Ilangaratne Banda, headquarters chief inspector Kamal Ratnayake, the police sergeant who handled the sniffer dog, and other investigators.
