Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- The Court of Appeal ordered that petitions filed requesting an order to invalidate the decision taken by prison authorities to remove the robes of Ven. Galagoda Atte Gnanasara Thera, who is serving a prison sentence, be called on the 22nd to consider them.

These petitions were called today before a judge bench comprising Court of Appeal Judges Amal Ranaraja, Mahen Gopallawa, and Priyantha Fernando.

After considering the facts presented, the judges ordered that the petitions be called on the 22nd to consider the facts.

These petitions were filed by a group of monks, including Ven. Theeniyawala Palitha Thera.
