Sri Lanka, Oct. 22 -- Interim petitions requesting permission to intervene and present facts in a writ petition filed by former State Intelligence Service Director Suresh Sallay, which challenged his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, received rejection orders from the Court of Appeal today (22).

A group of Buddhist monks, including Venerable Bengamuwe Nalaka Thera, filed these interim petitions.
