Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Notice was issued to the Officer-in-Charge of the Financial Crimes Investigation Division to appear in court on the 12th to present facts regarding the anticipatory bail application submitted by former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.

Maligakanda Magistrate Janani Perera issued the directive today (06).

The magistrate issued this directive after considering today (06) the anticipatory bail application submitted before the court by Shiranthi Rajapaksa yesterday (05).

This anticipatory bail application was submitted against the backdrop of Shiranthi Rajapaksa being summoned to give a statement to the Financial Crimes Investigation Division.
