Court challenges Yoshitha's money laundering conspiracy charge
Sri Lanka, June 16 -- Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived at the Court of Appeal to attend the hearing of a petition requesting a ruling that the charge of "conspiracy" cannot be maintained in the case filed against him by the Attorney-General under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The petition is scheduled to be heard today before a Court of Appeal bench comprising Amal Ranaraja and Dr Sumudu Premachandra.
